Bradley Cooper opened up about quarantining with his three-year-old daughter, Lea Shayk Cooper, and the truth he had to be a preschool teacher.
Bradley Cooper talked about his life as a dad with his A Star is Born co-star Anthony Ramos for Interview magazine. Here, he revealed their coronavirus quarantine time, along with his mom, Gloria Campano.
Cooper’s quarantine life with daughter, mom
At home, Cooper was with her daughter, mom, and two dogs. Ever since the coronavirus lockdown began, he said they had not left the house.
“My mother is going to be 80, and she has a colostomy bag,” he revealed. “I can’t let anybody in the house. And I can’t leave the house, because if she gets it, it’s over.”
The 45-year-old actor was thankful there was a backyard to their “little townhouse.”
“I’m running a one-man preschool,” he continued. “We get up; we do swim class in the bathtub. I’ll send you a video.”
Cooper had been known for being private about his personal life. However, in his appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, he told Ellen DeGeneres how becoming a dad had “dramatically changed him for the better.”
“Yeah. I think like [in] every way,” he said, via E! News.”I mean, it allowed me to embrace my childlike self without any sort of like, fear of judgment.”
Having a kid let him play toys all day long without feeling weird. He even had the chance to endlessly watch cartoons without questioning his move, if he was wasting his life.
“I love cartoons,” he admitted.
Cooper’s amicable relationship with ex Shayk
Cooper shared Lea with his ex-partner, Irina Shayk. They welcomed the kid in 2017. However, after four years of dating, the couple parted ways.
Despite the split, the two were committed to being amicable for their kid’s sake. They did not even mind being reunited if it was for their child.
“It’s clear that Bradley and Irina have the same goals for their daughter,” an insider told People. “They are both wonderful parents.”
The exes also posed for a photo together when they graced the British Vogue and Tiffany & Co. 2020 Fashion and Film Party in London in February.
The two were with the British Vogue’s editor-in-chief Edward Enninful, to whom Shayk had a candid interview for the magazine’s March 2020 cover story.
Here, she talked about her relationship with Cooper for the first time post-split.
“I think in all good relationships, you bring your best and your worst,” she said. “It’s just the nature of a human being.”
