Bravely Default 2 is one of the most anticipated titles on the Switch that was believed to launch this year. However, while the game will no longer launch this year, at least we have a solid release date for it already.
The Nintendo Switch exclusive, Bravely Default 2 was initially slated to release this year. However, the developers has since moved the release date to 2021. Now, the game has a release date of Feb. 26, 2021. Here’s everything else we know about the upcoming JRPG.
New Asterisk Holders
In Bravely Default, players will have to fight and beat Asterisk Holders to unlock new class for their party. The sequel is set to have more classes to collect. Nintendo just gave us a closer look at four Asterisk Holders coming to the upcoming sequel.
First is Dag the Vanguard, who can mainly tank damage from those up against him. Then there’s Orpheus the Bard, who can provide bonuses or debuffs to multiplier targets. Third is Anihal, the Beastmaster. In combat, she is able to summon monsters she has caught before. Last is the unique and quirky Shirley, the Gambler, who has luck-based skills.
Once players beat these Asterisk Holders in Bravely Default 2, they’ll have access to these classes as well.
Changes based on demo comments
Earlier this year, the developers launched a demo for the game. Players were quick to give their comments about what they think so far. The developers are using these comments to change the game and shape it to become something more desirable.
For instance, the developers are going to add difficulty options. Many commented that the demo was too hard. Some were worried that it was too hard and inaccessible. Now, there are several difficulty options that players can pick from to cater to their preferences.
The feedback from the demo is going to be put to great use by the developers. Aside from the difficulty, the developers are also going to adjust various gameplay features as well. Upon seeing the changes, players were all praise to the developers for listening to them. Hopefully, the game is all that it’s hyped up to be.
After the long wait, we finally have a release date for Bravely Default 2. We’re sure that fans of the upcoming game are already ready with their pre-orders. The game will have a ton of new features, some of which came from fan requests, so players have a lot to look forward to.
