Britney Spears is in the midst of a legal battle concerning her conservatorship. There are rumors that she might stop performing after her long-time manager, Larry Rudolph, decided to resign.
Britney Spears retiring rumors
Britney Spears’ longtime manager Larry Rudolph has decided to resign. The move got tails wagging how it will affect the pop princess’ career.
There are rumors that she might stop performing. However, Gossip Cop noted that if that would happen, it would not be the first time that Spears would stop performing.
In 2019, she canceled a residence in Las Vegas after her dad, Jamie, became ill. She has not performed since.
The Toxic singer also said that she has no intention to perform again until her controversial conservatorship is lifted.
The rumor-debunking site cannot conclude if Spears would stop performing for good or not. If she retires, it will not be a problem because she already has a lot of money and doesn’t need to perform.
Meanwhile, pushing with the retirement would be a threat to show that she means business amid her conservatorship battle.
Spears has been fighting to end her conservatorship to live her life. According to her, the conservatorship forced her to work and prohibit her from marrying and having more children.
Spears’ manager resigned
Larry Rudolph who served as Britney Spears’ manager since 1995 decided to quit his job. He tendered his resignation to Spears’ co-conservators, her dad, Jamie Spears, and court-appointed Jodi Montgomery.
According to Rudolph, his last communication with Spears was 2 1/2 years ago. At the time, Spears informed him that she wanted to take an indefinite leave from work, he said in a letter obtained by Deadline.
Rudolph is aware of Spears’ intention to resign. He has never been part of her conservatorship, but he believes that it is in the singer’s best interest that he resigns. Rudolph felt that the Lucky songstress no longer need his professional services.
He was incredibly proud of their accomplishments in the past 25 years. Rudolph ended his resignation with well-wishes for the artist.
“I wish Britney all the health and happiness in the world, and I’ll be there for her if she ever needs me again, just as I always have been,” he concluded.
Spears recently requested to remove her dad as her sole conservator. However, the court denied her request.
