BTS, Kang Daniel, and more are among the new batch of artists who received platinum certifications from the Gaon Chart.
The Korea Music Content Industry Association (KMCIA) has applied a new certification system for song downloads, album sales, and online streaming in 2018.
Once an artist reaches 250,000 sales with their music released dating on or after January 1, 2018, Gaon Chart certifies the album as platinum. Also, a song receives the same certification when it reaches 100 million streams or 2.5 million downloads.
