BTS, Daddy Yankee collaboration still requested by fans

BTS fans are now celebrating after Suga gives an exciting update about the group’s new album. They are also expecting for collaboration with Daddy Yankee after the group danced to his hit song, “Con Calma.”

Three members of BTS, Suga, Jin, and Jimin, shared a video of themselves dancing to Daddy Yankee’s song on WeVerse. The clip lasted for two minutes, and the three showed their incredible talent in dancing. Just as expected, Latin fans couldn’t contain themselves but hope for a collaboration between the two.

A hopeful collaboration

BTS’s video has quickly gone viral. Of course, it received positive reactions from a lot of fans, believing an alliance between them would be truly epic.

“What if Daddy Yankee sees the video of them dancing to Con Calma and they collab? Bye,” one fan said, via Hollywood Life. “Did you see how much fun they had dancing to Con Calma? Latinx ARMYs we f***in won!!!” another one added.

Some fans also made sure that Daddy Yankee would see Suga, Jin, and Jimin’s clip by tagging his name. “Hey Daddy Yankee, what about a bts ft daddy yankee collab?” a follower asked.

It wasn’t the first time that fans hope BTS and Daddy Yankee would work on new music together. When the Puerto Rican singer liked a tweet of the group’s song in 2018, fans believed they were brewing something. However, two years have passed, no collaboration appeared.

The coming of a new album

Meanwhile, Suga recently gave fans an update about BTS’s new album. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the boys are hard at work to drop an LP following Map of the Soul: 7. In a live stream video, the group’s rapper revealed they are now “working on a new album again,” Soompi translated.

“Before we started, we decided who was in charge of what. Who would oversee everything, who would oversee the visuals, who would oversee the music—we split that up,” he said. “We discussed it amongst ourselves and made the decision. A video about that will be released soon, so please watch it.”

Amid the global health crisis, BTS is doing everything to keep their fans entertained. They often release new content on social media, like their online concert series Bang Bang Con. They also dropped a new docuseries, titled Break the Silence, and, of course, live stream videos. The K-Pop group will also release spectacular live performances, which the first two episodes will be out on May 12 on WeVerse.
