BTS is scheduled to attend the 76th United Nations General Assembly to prepare to leave South Korea for the first time in two years.
The Bangtan Boys’ fans have previously referred to BTS as South Korea’s Pride, and they now have more than ample cause to do so. With BTS members being invited to the United Nations General Assembly, they became the first South Korean musical group to attend and speak in 2018, spreading the message of ‘self-love’ via their campaign Love Myself.
At a special high-level meeting of the UN Health and Security Agency Group, BTS talked about their difficulties and mental condition during the epidemic, which mirrored the suffering of many people across the globe. They offered audiences hope for a brighter future.
BTS to attend the 76th UN General Assembly for the second time
Following a similar theme to their address at the 73rd United Nations General Assembly, BTS is poised to attend the 76th United Nations General Assembly for the second time in person as they prepare to leave the nation for the first time in two years.
This time, BTS members encouraged the Youth of the World to talk about their problems, which would subsequently be addressed with a message of Hope at BTS’s third UNGA speech.
Members of BTS also shared their own experiences with fans on their official Twitter account to urge people to express what the last two years have meant to them.
As stated in the article, “Respected youth, How were the last two years for you, and how is your world today? A picture, an emoji, or a phrase expresses the important things that make up your world or demonstrate who you are today. Your tales will begin at the United Nations. With sincere appreciation, BTS.”
BTS will join South Korea’s President
Since 2019, BTS has received extraordinary reactions to their Love Myself campaign, but all of it has been overshadowed by the epidemic. With renewed resolve and optimism for a brighter future, members of BTS are preparing to visit the United Nations General Assembly with their country’s president.
According to rumors, BTS was named South Korea’s official envoys in July 2021. Reports indicated that the boy band would be escorted on their scheduled tour to the United States by South Korean President Moon Jae.
On September 13, The Blue House, the South Korean president’s executive office and official residence announced on its official website that “President Moon Jae-in plans to visit New York and Honolulu, USA for five days and three nights from September 19 to September 23 to attend the United Nations’ 76th General Assembly as well as the ceremony to take over the Republic of Korea’s remains.”
BTS was the first group of people under 30 to get a diplomatic passport, allowing them to travel to the United States during the worldwide epidemic.
Due to the national importance of this tour, members of BTS have been granted Diplomatic Passports. Diplomats and citizens who work for the government and serve on diplomatic terms are granted passports. These passports entitle holders to preferential treatment in other nations.
During the event in which BTS got their Diplomat Passports, they also received Special Envoy Certificates from President Obama, who greeted each of the seven guys with the certificate and a pumped fist.
The 76th United Nations General Assembly
At the 76th United Nations General Assembly, BTS will deliver a speech on the South Korean government’s Sustainable Development Goals as special envoys to President Moon Jaein at the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) Movement’s opening session, which will be presided over by the UN Secretary-General on September 20.

Along with their statement, BTS is expected to show a performance video through VCR. BTS members and accompanying personnel have already been immunized against Covid-19.
On September 14, Big Hit Music, the management firm, stated Newsen, “We have been vaccinated in connection with specific activities and international itineraries.”
According to the Blue House, “just as BTS has previously communicated messages of comfort and hopes to the world, attending this year’s General Assembly is expected to expand communication with future generations worldwide and elicit sympathy from future generations on major international issues.”
