BTS hailed the most popular boy group for November

BTS has taken the top spot as the most popular boy group in the brand reputation rankings in November, released by the Korean Brand Research Institute.

The Korean Brand Research Institute analyzed 54,840,283 pieces of data dating from October 6 to November 6; to determine the month’s most popular boy group.

The institute decided the boy groups’ brand reputation index through the consumer participation index, media index, communication index, and community reception index.

Notedly, November’s data increased by 4.87% compared to October’s available data of 52,294,128.

What is a brand reputation ranking?

Per media sources, the brand reputation ranking is an index that determines consumers’ online habits and how celebrities impact brand consumption.

It also analyzes which boy group is the most popular and determines their positive and negative influence, media, consumer interest, and communication volume.

November’s rankings

BTS (RM, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook) ranked number one with a brand reputation index of 8,595,929. The “princes of pop” achieved a participation index of 2,033,128, a communication index of 2,160,133, a media index of 2,257,600, and a community index of 2,146,068.

However, the group’s index fell by 47.45% compared to its reputation index of 16,356,302 in October.

Ranking at number 2 is NCT with a brand reputation index of 5,856,601. The group achieved a participation index of 423,192, a communication index of 1,788,989, a media index of 1,954,560, and a community index of 1,679,320.

The group’s brand reputation index rose by 64.51% compared to its reputation index of 3,553,615 in October.

Furthermore, ranking in third place is SEVENTEEN with a brand reputation index of 3,780,268. The group scored a participation index of 718,256, a communication index of 740,516, a media index of 1,717,760, and a community index of 703,736.

Meanwhile, the group achieved a staggering 71.00% increase in their brand reputation ranking from their 2,210,646 in October.

Moreover, B1A4 (CNU, Baro, and Gonghan) took fourth place with a brand reputation index of 3,256,610. The group scored a participation index of 1,419,528.

The trio achieved a rise in its brand reputation ranking by 920.45% compared to its last month’s brand reputation index of 319,135.

Lastly, positioning in fifth place is PENTAGON. The group achieved a brand reputation of 2,240,415. Compared to October with an index of 831,099, the group’s score rose by 169.57%.
