BTS defends its throne as it remains unmoved on the top spot of the December brand rankings for idol groups released by the Korean Business Research Institute.
Along with BTS, the top idol groups who are top scorers this month include BLACKPINK, NCT, SEVENTEEN, and (G)I-DLE.
The rankings dating November 26 to December 26 were measured using big data collected by the institute.
Playing a vital role in rankings is analyzing consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community awareness indexes of various idol groups.
BTS is not slowing down
RM, Jin, Jungkook, J-Hope, V, Jimin, and Suga this month achieve a 12.54% increase in their score since November.
With a brand reputation index of 18,972,090, the Bangtan Boys successfully defended their position at the top of the list.
In the group’s keyword analysis, the septet’s high-ranking phrases included “Dynamite,” “YouTube,” and “Billboard.”
Simultaneously, “award,” “congratulate,” and “release” was recorded in the group’s highest-ranking related terms.
The positivity-negativity analysis of the group revealed a score of 85.02% positive reactions for December.
BLACKPINK tailing the seven-piece
From landing fourth place last month, BLACKPINK consisting of Lisa, Jennie, Rose, and Jisoo, made a remarkable leap this December.
Although it failed to take home the gold, it still managed to top other promising groups and tailed BTS in the second place.
Since November, the four-piece impressed with a 53.20% rise in their score and earned a brand reputation index of 8,401,874.

Lastly, also remaining on its previous spot is NCT. The 23-member group earns a brand reputation index of 7,985,896, enough to nail the group in third place. The group marked a 29.53% increase in its score since the previous month.
