BTS’ V, known for his excellent musical taste, spoke about his inspiration, solo songs, and music suggestions and kept mentioning ARMY even while he talked about other topics. He also spoke about how difficult it was to sing Butter since he had so many high notes.
He had to alter his vocal style since he always has the low portions and sings in a flow. His hard effort paid off, and he was pleased that his singing matched the ‘Butter’ concept’s young spirit.
V discusses his sources of motivation
V is a big fan of vintage music, which he likes to listen to on vinyl. In reality, Louis Armstrong’s music is now on his iPod. He said that such music soothed him and allowed him to forget about his concerns since he felt at ease.
He also discussed how Billy Joel, high school movies, musicals, and Johnny Depp’s Greaser look in Cry Baby influenced his portrayal in Butter. He constantly looks up grim flicks like ‘Reservoir Dogs’ before playing on stage.
He also said that anytime he gets an idea, he writes it down in his journal to later integrate it into his songs. He immediately dashes over to the studio to get to work. This is how ‘Snow Flower,’ his solo single, came to be.
He stated that he had been drinking with several musicians and that since everyone was free, they decided to record ‘Snow Flower.’ Not only that, but V composed the whole song in less than three hours. He said that the song was inspired by the sensation of flowers being crushed when the world is blanketed in snow.
BTS as a whole is a mental health champion, and as musicians, they’ve been doing it via song. V had the same mentality when he recorded his other song, ‘Blue & Grey,’ since he wanted to share his feelings with ARMY, even the suffering.
Arctic Monkeys’ No. 1 Party Anthem was also suggested. He stated that, despite not knowing the words or what the song is about, the feelings and music gave him chills and inspired him to live his life to the fullest.
Taehyung considering ARMYs as his bestfriends
V also discussed the impromptu Weverse event he hosted for ARMY to share everything with them. He enjoys listening to their tales and maintaining contact with them.
He referred to them as his best friends, and he wanted to do more than just entertain them. He claims they provide him with strength and someone with whom he can express his emotions.
As a result, he makes every effort to reply to their messages and do all he can to make them happy.
