BTS V: first K-pop idol to earn a birthday feature in ‘TIME’

BTS V storms the December issue of TIME magazine for a birthday ad, hailing him as the first K-pop idol to do so.

Taehyung, known as BTS V, will celebrate his birthday extra special as he gets a TIME magazine feature.

That said, V is the first K-pop idol to have a birthday ad on the world-renowned publication, where BTS was also held as the Entertainer of the Year.

Born in the full name Kim Taehyung, V will be celebrating his 26th birthday this coming December 30.

The ARMYs are in full swing to surprise and celebrate the dashing idol, alongside many other fans anticipating the glorious day.

On the other hand of the celebration, TIME magazine awards V a Birthday Support Ad, hailing the K-pop superstar the first idol to achieve such a prominent feature.

TIME magazine made everything possible, but V’s fans made an effort to reach out to the publication.

Allkpop reported that V’s Chinese fan club called KIMTAEHYUNGBAR laid out the plans for the surprise, a special gift for their idol that will surely flutter his heart.

Due to the intense and massive demand of fans, V’s birthday will get a feature not just in TIME magazine.

But also in prestigious publication outlets like ELLEHarper’s BazaarMarie Claire, and GQ.

The Birthday Support Ad of V is in the same issue of TIME magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of the Year.

Recently, Koreaboo stated that the magazine would highlight the most influential figures of this year, with BTS storming as the Entertainer of the Year.

Undoubtedly, the ad coveted by BTS V in TIME magazine is proof that ARMYs are unlike any other fanbase.

Each birthday celebration of BTS members is a surprise. The feature of BTS is their second in the magazine; their first time was in October 2018.
