BTS’s single CD Butter has been sold almost two million times in one week!
BTS’s recently released single CD of Butter sold 1,975,364 copies during the week of July 9-15, according to Hanteo Chart, July 16 KST. This is an incredible achievement considering it only took one week from release and was created using only one CD.
The BTS Butter CD version was sold almost 2 million copies in just one week. This significant development makes Butter the best-selling CD of the year.
‘Butter’ overtakes previous releases
BTS’ fourth album MAP of The SOUL: 7 was released in February 2020. Butter, on the other side, seemed to be a better album. It sold over 3.75 million copies in its first week.
BE sold 2.27 million albums, after being released in November 2020. Now, MAP OF THE SOUL PERSONA and BE place third- and fourth as the most popular albums within their “first-week” rankings. The latter sold more than 2.13 million copies.
Butter’s CD includes four tracks, the digital single Butter was released May 21st. You will also find instrumental versions of both songs and their song Permission to Dance.

The hit song Butter reached the top of the charts. Also, Permission to Dance received rave reviews. Butter, which debuted No. Billboard’s Hot 100 main singles chart has been at No. 1 for seven consecutive weeks.
Butter is also The No. 1 song in the United States during the first half of this year.
The hugely popular Permission To Dance also has been a hit. It was downloaded 40,000 times within three days of its debut on the country’s music charts. It topped the Weekly Digital Singles Rankings Japan’s Oricon music chart.
BTS’s Appearance in ‘Global Citizen Live,’ Confirmed!
BTS has been confirmed to perform in Global Citizen Live, which is a 24-hour global concert that will include Shawn Mendes (Camila Cabello), Shawn Mendes, and Billie Eilish. Doja Cat and Doja Cat will perform. Coldplay, Metallica, and Adam Lambert will also be performing at the event.
Global Citizen Live, which will be held on September 25, at local time.
BTS’s Save Me video has been viewed by more than 600 million people
BTS’ 2016 music clip Save Me, had more than 600 million views by 6:42 AM KST on July 15. It is now the tenth most-viewed music video after DNA, Fake Love, Fire, Boy With Luv, IDOL, and MIC Drop (Steve Aoki mix).
Save Me, released May 15, 2016, was the first album that reached this milestone. It took just five years, one month, and 29 days to reach this milestone.
