The recent Nintendo Direct Mini didn’t show much, but for fans of Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the Necrodancer, it was more than enough. One of the best spin-offs from the franchise is set to be expanded with a lot of DLC.
In the Nintendo Direct Mini, we got to see a handful of information for Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the Necrodancer. There are going to be three DLC packs and a physical version launching later this year. Here’s everything we know.
The first DLC is titled Character Pack, and it launches today for $5.99. As per the trailer, the first pack adds five additional characters. These include Impa, who uses her naginata to strike from afar. The other character is Aria, who offers a deep challenge to players as missing a beat with her results in a game over.
The second DLC pack called Melody Pack will be available for $5.99 as well. This DLC pack adds a total of 39 songs to the game. The new songs include remixed versions of the game’s background music. What’s even better is that since players can change the background music anytime, they can listen to their favorite songs while playing.
The last DLC pack called Additional Story Content – Symphony of the Mask is going to sell for $9.99. In the extra story, players get to play as Skull Kid from Majora’s Mask. It’s one of the biggest additions in Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the Necrodancer.
The story pack comes with new songs, new maps, and a new story. Moreover, players can change the maps of Skull Kid, which grants him different powers.
Launching on October 23 is a physical version of the game, which retails for $39.99. This will come with the base game, as well as all of the upcoming DLCs.
The game is considered as one of the best Legend of Zelda spin-offs out there. Instead of the usual gameplay, Cadence of Hyrule focuses more on rhythmic battles, featuring music from the franchise. It’s an addictive game that even die-hard fans of the series can’t get enough off.
The Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the Necromancer got a lot of love at the recent Nintendo Direct. Players of the game have a lot to look forward to in the coming months in the form of DLC. Hopefully, this isn’t the last we’ve seen of the game yet.
