The next Call of Duty title continues to be the subject of the rumor mill. Recent news says it might not include a Battle Royale mode.
The recent buzz allegedly claims that the supposed Call of Duty 2020 title will not have its own famed Battle Royale mode, but will instead have a Warzone integration on its menu as the BR option.
Right now, Call of Duty: Warzone and its other title installment, Modern Warfare, are becoming a big hit. Recently, the gaming community has been busy figuring out the games’ Season 4 Easter eggs, which includes Captain John Price.

Reliable insider as the origin of no BR mode rumor
Comicbook identifies Tom Henderson, a “prominent Call of Duty insider,” as the person behind the recent Call of Duty 2020 rumor. Accordingly, Henderson has been a reliable leaker in the past, with his accurate information about other CoD titles.
Apparently, the information that Henderson revealed reportedly “lines up” with what the media outlet has heard so far about the upcoming 2020 title.
Henderson’s Twitter leak reads:
The current plan is for Warzone to be somehow integrated into CoD 2020. It’s likely that Warzone will be accessible via the CoD 2020 menu. This is because CoD 2020 will not have its own Battle Royale mode.
The information reportedly gives more sense to the news that the Call of Duty makers, such as Raven Software, Infinity Ward, and Activision, are planning to “support Warzone for years to come.”
This story is far from over.

As many avid CoD followers know, that each title is developed by different publishers. Should it be proven that the next title will be Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, as Micky News previously reported, then it’ll be Treyarch who will be leading the development.
In this case, will the Warzone makers work hand in hand with Treyarch to make this integration happen?
Call of Duty 2020 rumored maps
Furthermore, Henderson mentioned the maps that’ll be available on the 2020 title. Per the leaker, it’ll be remastered forms of those from the Black Ops franchise.
These maps include Nuketown, Jungle, Summit, and Firing Range, which players are already familiar with in the Multiplayer mode.
Nuketown, Jungle, Summit and Firing Range are already remastered maps coming to Black Ops 😭
Should have just remastered the original at this rate.

Readers are always reminded that rumors and leaks should be taken with a grain of salt. If Henderson’s information is correct, then we might hear the official news during the PS5 list of games launch event this week.
As Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War might be included in the list of games in Sony’s next-gen PlayStation console.
