Activision’s Call of Duty: Mobile is planning another franchise crossover with one of its classic maps. Could it be for Season 6?
The official Twitter page of Call of Duty: Mobile teased of what many avid fans believe is the Rust Map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
The video snippet was only nine seconds long, but it was enough to identify what the teaser was. With Season 5: Steel Legion on its last week, the Rust map might be introduced next season.
It can be remembered that Steel Legion introduced the Meltdown map from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. It won’t be a big surprise if Activision brings in another map from one of its CoD franchises.
Modern Warfare Rust map in test servers
To further confirm the obvious map speculation, reports claim that the Rust map is already accessible in the test servers. Gameplay snippets with the said map have also been uploaded on YouTube.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Rust map is one of the game’s classics considering its diverse geography. To those CoD Mobile players who haven’t played Modern Warfare, the Rust map is an oil refinery with a western desert vibe.
It has 12 different zones, including the signature tower that was featured on the teaser video snippet.
Call of Duty: Mobile season 6 leak
There have been recent news updates circulating online that Season 6 will likely have a “Wild West” theme.
Should it be true, the vibe of the map teaser and the possible Rust map crossover would only seem fit. Following the supposed Season 6 leak, two new operators are expected to arrive, similar to that of Season 5.
In Steel Legion, Activision introduced David Mason and Reaper from Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 3, respectively. Next month, Scarlett Rhodes from Black Ops 4 is rumored to take the next crossover to the mobile platform.

Players and avid Call of Duty followers will find out soon enough if the Wild West leak is true. Based on the release date of Steel Legion, Season 6 will be introduced on May 1.
The probable May 1 release also echoes Call of Duty Mobile Vice President Chris Plummer’s statement in an interview, as Micky News previously reported, that the first day of each month will welcome in a new season in the mobile game platform.
As for the narrative, it looks like every season will have its own.
Earlier this month, Micky News also noted that a Campaign mode entitled “CLASSIFIED” is seen on its official website. Will it possibly be introduced in Season 6 as well? We’ll find out soon enough.
