Call of Duty: Warzone has finally made its mysterious bunkers accessible, including a secret 11th door. Here’s where you can find and open them.
Call of Duty: Warzone players had always been privy to the battle royale‘s bunker doors. These doors had been present ever since the game was first launched back in March. Now, the game’s developers had finally made them available to explore in the Warzone’s latest update.
While initially, there are 10 bunker doors, there is now also a secret 11th door, and it looks like players are already cracking down on this exciting Easter egg.
The mystery of Call of Duty: Warzone bunker doors
They’ve been around since the game’s launch, and players had been trying to uncover the mystery surrounding these bunker doors. Now that they have opened, this leaves many players questioning why. What are these bunkers for, and why open them now?
For now, the bunkers contain an assortment of loot. Players who manage to open the bunker doors will gain access to many special items. While the loot itself is exciting for players, what’s even more exciting is what the opening of the bunkers entail.
According to rumors circulating online, the opening of the bunkers is part of a bigger mystery connected to the new Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War.
Opening the bunker doors
Players would be happy to know that opening these bunker doors is not too difficult to accomplish. In fact, the step is so simple it’s like the game is just giving these bunker doors away.
All a player needs is a red access card to open the bunker doors.
Unfortunately, acquiring these red access cards is what complicates the process. Players can only get red access cards from random drops, and it would have to be a really special drop.

Now, these drops are exceedingly rare, and on top of that, players have to compete with others for these kinds of drops. There is no guarantee one would be able to secure one in a match.
But once a player has the access card, they would only need to interact with the keypads found at the entrance of the bunker doors. They would have to be really careful with not getting killed because other players can steal these cards.
Finding red access cards
There are two other options players can use to obtain a red access card. The first one is to hunt down all the Legendary crates within the battle royale game. However, not all of Legendary-tier crates contain a red access card.
The possibility of obtaining one through this method is really low. Oftentimes matches could end, and players are still unable to obtain an access card.
The second method is much easier, although it’s still a matter of luck. One would simply need to ambush players with red access cards near the bunker sites. That is, of course, if other players manage to find red access cards.
Also, with around 11 bunker sites, there is only a small chance one would encounter a player with a red access card.
There are around 10 known bunker locations in Call of Duty: Warzone as well as an 11th secret bunker. Here’s where they can be found.
- Bunker 1 – On the northern end of the Junkyard region
- Bunker 2 – Another on the northern end of just east of the Junkyard region just west of Boneyard
- Bunker 3 – This is found between the military base and dam in Bloc 23
- Bunker 4 – Located on the south of the Junkyard region and west of Boneyard
- Bunker 5 – Found on the south of the military base in the Lazoff Pass region
- Bunker 6 – East of the quarry in Bloc 18
- Bunker 7 – Northeast of the Verdansk stadium
- Bunker 8 – Northeast of the Verdansk stadium near Bunker 7 but in Bloc 18
- Bunker 9 – Northeast of the prison in the southeast corner of the map
- Bunker 10 – South of the park near the edge of the map
The secret 11th bunker
There is an 11th bunker in Verdansk that cannot be opened by the red access card. Instead, players would need to complete elaborate instruction. Redditor StrangerRobijn had come up with a map and helpful guide on Reddit that discusses how one could open the 11th bunker.
According to him, players must first find one of several activation phones in Verdansk. Finding the right phone could be tricky. Remember that if there is only a dial tone, it’s not the right one.
After finding the right phone, they must listen to a recording being played on the phone and wait for the activation codes. The conversation is in Russian, so players would really need to learn at least the translation of numbers to English.
Once they have the activation code, players must then find the Morse code phones that correspond to the codes they had deciphered. The order of the Morse code phones players use doesn’t matter, but using the wrong phone would require them to start over.
When all of this is done, a voice sequence will activate informing the player that the Call of Duty: Warzone Bunker 11 has opened. Players would find rooms with many special items and mysteries that point out to the next Call of Duty game rumored to be Black Ops: Cold War.
