'Call of Duty: Warzone' to have explosive 'Fortnite'-like changes this August?

Recent reports claim that the upcoming changes to Call of Duty: Warzone will likely be as explosive as Epic Games’ Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3

Rumors continue to loom Activision’s famed Battle Royale title Call of Duty: WarzoneThis time, it involves its maps that are likely linked to the developmental discovery of a nuclear weapon in the mysterious bunker.

Fortnite-like explosion to revamp the current map?

Per Video Games Chronicles, Call of Duty: Warzone is likely to follow Fortnite‘s way of revamping its current map with a massive explosion.

For those who are not familiar with Fortnite‘s new season, Epic Games did an explosive finale event—The Device—as a way of introducing the new season, most especially, its new under-the-sea map.

Based on the recent teaser trails in Warzone, it looks like players will also witness a massive explosion that will lead to the introduction to the new Battle Royale map, or the addition to the original.

As per the media outlet, all of which is likely headed to the introduction of the new Call of Duty 2020 title. As Micky News previously as well reported, the rumor mill has it that the next title will be Black Ops: Cold War.

Fan theories suggest that the mysterious 11th bunker and the discovery of some sort of a nuclear warhead are somehow related to the next title.

What changes will players see?

Per VGC‘s sources, “The changes include a revamp of the game’s large football stadium to include an open interior, and the addition of a loot-filled train which will continuously circle the game map.”

Eurogamer then reports that VGC‘s information is “backed up” by the recently dug up information, courtesy of the data miners in the Call of Duty community. Accordingly, the said stadium is “inspired by Donbass Arena, the real-life home of Ukrainian football club Shakhtar Donetsk.”

Meanwhile, a new operator is also rumored to be introduced next season—Frank Woods from the Black Ops franchise. This only further strengthens the imminent possibility of a Black Ops: Cold War 2020 title.

Furthermore, audio files have also been found, which also confirms the highly rumored upcoming title. Per the latter publication, “audio files mention ‘Ascension’ alongside the numbers: 7 15 1 2 19 7 25 6 13 6 7 15 14 0″—which are spoken by a familiar voice of a “mystery woman” from a 2010 Black Ops title.

Meanwhile, these changes are reportedly going to be seen in Season 5 of Call of Duty: Warzone which is likely to arrive in August. However, readers are always warned with caution to take rumors with a grain of salt.
