Camp Getaway just wrapped up its first season, and now fans are clamoring for more. Will Bravo renew the reality show for a second season?
Bravo’s Camp Getaway surprisingly formed a fanbase after it made its debut in early May.
And so now that it finished airing all of its eight episodes, fans are hoping that Bravo will bring more.
What is the show about?
Camp Getaway is a reality series that follows the staff of the “ultimate adult playground” located in the idyllic Berkshire Mountains of Kent, Connecticut.
It shows the work and the play life of the staff as they “navigate the challenges and surprises that accompany working for a camp that offers a nonstop good time.”
Guests come in at the camp to escape the stress of daily life and to experience adventure, relaxation, and endless happy hours.
It’s the staff duty to make sure that every summer camp guest’s need or demand is met.
As written in the NBC’s site: “Though each staff member brings a different level of experience to the table, they all share a love for this lifestyle that enables them to let loose on the weekends… and not always after the guests leave.”
The show’s cast members are 12 of the camp’s staff, including camp owner and director David Schreiber.
He is joined by Claire Sorrels, Adam Mizrahi, Monica O’Neal, Gavin Stewart, Glen North, Neely Fortune, Nile Lundren, Randall Klein, and Sophia D’Angelo.
Season 1 finale
The first season was able to wrap up most of the storylines, especially in the love quadrangle surrounding Adam, Sophia, Randall, and Gavin.
Season 1 spent sorting out Adam and Sophia’s love life, which was occasionally interrupted because of Randall and Gavin.

When Adam thought that Sophia was flirting with Gavin, and in the end, Randall decided to keep out from the equation after realizing that Adam has no feelings for her.
Meanwhile, Neely and Monica had a more complicated relationship. The two just don’t seem to understand each other. In the end, Neely thinks that Monica is intruding on her personal space.
As for Claire and David, they were deemed the most strict social coordinators. They even suspended Adam and reprimanded Nile and Glen for inappropriate behaviors.
Is there going to be a season 2?
According to Showbiz Cheatsheet, David told them in April that they are not sure yet if the camp would resume. He remained hopeful, though, and plans to open up in June.
He also insisted that he would not open the camp unless he is sure that it would be safe for everyone. “But we will be open this season, I think it’ll be a different type of season,” he said.
The ratings of the series also showed promising numbers. And if Bravo decides based on that, Camp Getaway season 2 might just happen. As for now, fans will just have to stay tuned for more updates.
