Daymak Inc., a Canadian electric vehicle maker shared details of Spiritus, its prototype EV, which will use the patent-pending Nebula platform.
A statement from the company said, “Nebula is the world’s first comprehensive cryptocurrency suite for electric vehicles, and will allow every Spiritus car to mine and manage crypto anywhere on the planet.”
Despite being a relatively unknown electric vehicle brand focusing on personal light electric vehicles including mobility scooters, it hopes to win international recognition by being the first to offer a car that generates income.
The product details
Daymak’s latest offering, the Spiritus, is a fully electric three-wheel, two-seat vehicle capable of providing its users with go-kart-like driving experience.
The company said the EV will launch in 2023. However, their website is already taking pre-orders now with their “early adopter” prices. As it turns out, as revealed by the web page’s checkout options, those who order can even pay in crypto.
The vehicle has two models, namely the Deluxe and the Ultimate variants. It has a price tag of $19,995 and $149,000, respectively. The latter boasts a 1.8 second 0-60 time, putting the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ to shame.
Despite its impressive feat, the Spiritus, in terms of range, falls short of what Model S Long Range of Tesla is capable of, managing only 300 miles, compared to the Tesla model’s 400 miles.
Income generation
In terms of the amount of money that can be generated by Spiritus, the Toronto-based company has set up a live 24-hour feed of the crypto mining results of the prototype to give interested parties an idea.
At press time, the live feed for running total was already cut. However, the last viewed data revealed around $14 generated since the start of mining back on June 29.
