Epic Games Store’s Mega Sale is ending and so is its Free Games event as well. There are still two free games up for grabs on its last day—June 11.
The Epic Games Store has been very generous with its free game drops this year. Unfortunately, like all other good things in life, it must also come to an end.
The finale of Mega Sale, however, will be closing out as grand as it opened. There are two games left and one of the titles have just been unveiled.
Epic Games Store stuck with the leaked list
After the release of GTA 5 as its first free title for the Epic Games Store Free Games event, a list was leaked on Reddit, alleging that it was the roster of Epic’s title drops. It was received with doubts, but slowly, as one title after another was revealed every Thursday, the then-doubted leak, gained credibility.
Epic did try to spin it around—releasing Overcooked on June 4, instead of Ark: Survival Evolved. However, the delay was most probably intentional as Ark‘s free release on Epic Games Store was suppose to jive with its in-game event.
PC Gamer notes that the game’s developer, Studio Wildcard, released a message informing the postponement of their in-game event to June 11. Hence, the release of Ark: Survival Evolved tomorrow.
The confirmation of Ark: Survival Evolved free drop came from Epic Games Store’s Facebook Ad, per GameSpot. The ad was in French, so this is likely similar to their Twitter slip up for their other title drops in the past.

Ark and Samurai Shodown to close out event
As already noted, Samurai Shodown NeoGeo Collection is coming out free on its first week of release. This will include seven games in a single package.
Technically speaking, on Epic Games Store’s last day of Mega Sale, it will be giving out a total of eight games. The same as always, the games will be up for grabs for a week or until June 18.
After that, Samurai Shodown NeoGeo Collection will subsequently be released on Steam—on June 18—and followed by a cross-console launch by July 28.
This year, the gaming community has witnessed Epic Games give out its most high-profiled titles yet. This would only mean that the standard for next year has been raised.
Make sure to avail Overcooked Epic Games Store before Ark: Survival Evolved replaces it at 11 p.m. on June 11.
