CD Projekt Red now believes that Cyberpunk 2077 has reached a position where they are “satisfied” with its performance, even with its many problems.
In an interview, CDPR CEO Adam Kiciński notes that the studio is happy with the stability of Cyberpunk 2077. This comes only a few weeks after warnings that the game is still unplayable for last-gen consoles.
CDPR CEO bullish about their work on CP2077
According to Polish site TVN24, as translated via Google Translate, Kiciński believes they’ve done enough in terms of stability. He notes that they are now happy with the work they did for the game.
“We have already achieved a satisfactory level in this regard,” said the CDPR CEO. “We have also been working on the overall efficiency, which we are also quite happy about. Of course, we also removed bugs and glitches (visual defects, etc) And we will continue to do that.”
“Over time, we will be introducing improvements to the general systems that players are paying attention to,” he added.
Within the same interview, Kiciński notes that CDPR is employing as many as 600 people within their game dev team. A good chunk of these devs deal with patches and the updates needed to keep the game working.
“There are also teams that to some extent work on things that have not been announced yet, as part of franchises that we have,” added the CEO.
CDPR, storefronts still have warning for last-gen console users
Much of the statement from CDPR top management about Cyberpunk 2077 is tenuous at best. While working well for next-gen consoles and the PC, the game is not doing good with last-gen consoles.
Users may continue to experience some performance issues with the PS4 edition while we continue to improve stability across all platforms. The PS4 Pro and PS5 versions of the game will provide the best experience on PlayStation.

Specifically, the title almost doesn’t work for PS4 and the Xbox One. Even now, most storefronts warn against playing the game on low-spec devices.
“Users may experience performance issues when playing this game on Xbox One consoles until this game is updated,” says the warning on the Windows Store.
“Users may continue to experience some performance issues with the PS4 edition while we continue to improve stability across all platforms. The PS4 Pro and PS5 versions of the game will provide the best experience on PlayStation,” said CD Projekt Red on Twitter last week, June 21.
The game still holds a “mostly positive” rating on Steam, with a user rating of 62%. Many of the complaints, as expected, still relate to bugs and glitches on the game. For the PS4, Cyberpunk 2077 is only mildly serviceable, but not without neutering its features.
