An opinionated article said that these celebrities do not deserve their Emmy nominations this year.
Celebrities from various platforms and networks are now gearing up for the upcoming 2020 Emmy Awards. This is, especially, likely applicable to those who got their nominations this year.
On Tuesday, Laverne Cox, Leslie Jones, Josh Gad, and Tatiana Maslany announced the list of nominations “virtually,” according to TVLine. Based on the results, Watchmen, reportedly, led the race having a total of 26 nominations.
While the HBO series obtained the most nominations for this year, reports said that Netflix, in general, bagged the most rights with 160 nominations. Meanwhile, HBO comes in second place with 107.
Celebrities who do not deserve their nominations
The Emmy nominations seemingly surprised a lot of people. As stated, a lot of new names have emerged on the list this year. But, among all, Zendaya’s nomination for the Lead Actress in Drama award has become the most shocking of all, as per Business Insider.
In the same opinionated article, it also listed down some of the celebrities that do not, reportedly, deserve an Emmy award. While it claims that these actors and actresses are all great in their respective careers, it just speculates that this year, in their roles, is not their most sweeping moment.

Helena Bonham Carter on The Crown
Helena Bonham Carter plays the role of Princess Margaret in the most recent installment of The Crown. She obtained the nomination for the Supporting Actress in Drama because of this.
The report pointed out that she is a “talented” actress. She has even become one of the most successful celebrities today.
However, her nomination for her portrayal of the British Royal is not, reportedly, an “inspired decision.” The publication added that there are other supporting actresses that are far more deserving of a nomination.
Cate Blanchett on Mrs. America
Cate Blanchett played the role of Phyllis Schlafly on Mrs. America. Her performance on the character, who is a “conservative activist,” reportedly garnered a lot of talks for herself, as well as the show.
But, despite this, the article deems her undeserving of her nomination for this year’s Emmy Award for Lead Actress In A Limited Series or Movie. As pointed out, actress Daisy Edgar-Jones, who starred in Hulu’s Normal People, should have obtained the nomination, “and not Blanchett.”
Olivia Colman on The Crown
Alongside Helena Bonham Carter, Olivia Colman, who plays the role of Queen Elizabeth II on The Crown, also obtained a nomination for this year’s Emmy Awards for the lead actress in drama category.
Although her performance is, reportedly, “solid,” there are other celebrities who should have obtained a nomination instead. Some of these actresses include Indya Moore and MJ Rodriguez for their performances on Pose, the report added.
