Celine Dion was allegedly pusher herself too much on dieting that she was already in the danger zone, according to a tabloid.
Celine Dion has a slim frame, but one outlet used a photo of her looking slimmer than usual and spun a story out of it. According to the tabloid, she was dieting too much to the point that her friends were already worried about her.
Celine Dion terrible diet rumors
Celine Dion’s pals were worried about her health because she was going too far with her diet and fitness routine, OK! reported.
“Her diet is terrible,” an unnamed source said. “She eats little more than a few pieces of fruit and a couple crackers to get her through her day.”
Aside from the lack of nutrition, the “My Heart Will Go On” songstress was also working out with trainers seven days a week. She had been doing endless hours of ballet because she felt that she had not work enough if she didn’t sweat or feel exhausted.
Aside from the grueling workouts, many were concerned that she was doing it to distract herself from the fifth death anniversary of her husband, Rene Angelil.
Rumor debunked
Gossip Cop examined the report and said it wasn’t new at all. A similar story was published before, which the rumor-debunking site also busted.
Globe previously reported a similar story, and the quotes from the supposed insider were the same. The tabloid also made an outrageous claim about Dion’s weight, saying she only weighed 96 pounds.
The rumor debunking site pointed out that the report was not only ridiculous but insulting. Dion’s weight has been among the things that the tabloids have been obsessing over the years.
What did Celine say about her weight?
Celine Dion has already addressed the speculations about her weight loss. She confirmed that she lost some weight and had been thinner.
As for the claims that she has been into a ballet, The Power of Love singer said dancing has been imprinted on her DNA all her life. And while many felt that she was too slim, the performer is happy with her body shape and was even more confident.
“I feel stronger, more beautiful, more grounded. There are this power and this strength that comes with that maturity,” she told ABC News.
She also shut down body-shamers by telling them to skip taking pictures of her if they don’t like her.
“If I like it, I don’t want to talk about it. Don’t bother. Don’t take a picture,” she said before adding, “If you like it, I’ll be there. If you don’t, leave me alone.”
