Celine Dion, allegedly, just weighs 96 pounds and her friends are worried.
Globe claimed that Celine Dion has been exercising too much, but she’s not eating enough to fuel her body.
As such, the singer’s friends couldn’t help but feel concerned about her.
“There’s a real concern she’s pushing herself into the danger zone. She never did know when to stop,” the source said.
Celine Dion exercising, eating less in preparation for her performance?
Since Dion is gearing up for her upcoming shows in Paris in March, the source claimed that she wants to look her best for her fans.
However, the singer, allegedly, thinks that the only way for her to achieve a slender frame is by restricting her food intake.
“Her diet is terrible. She eats a little more than a piece of fruit and a couple of crackers to get her through the day. She’s working out with trainers seven days a week and doing endless hours of ballet till she’s near collapse. Her friends are urging her to slow down. If only she would listen to them, but Celine feels if she’s not sweating buckets and trembling from exhaustion at the end of the day then she hasn’t worked hard enough,” the source said.
The source added that Celine Dion must be exhausting herself with her workouts because she’s usually grieving around this time.
Celine Dion coping with husband’s death through diet, exercise
In January 2016, the singer’s husband, Rene Angelil died from throat cancer.
“Of course, obsessing about her body is a good diversion to take her mind off it, but it’s not a healthy option. A lot of people are really worried about her, not in the least how she’s going to handle the rigorous pace of her upcoming tour,” the source said.
The singer responds to thin-shamers
Rumors about Dion’s health have been rife for years. Last year, the singer was thin-shamed.
During her interview on The Dan Wootton Interview podcast, Dion told her bashers that she is happy and healthy.
“I want to feel strong, beautiful, feminine, and sexy. If I like it, I don’t want to talk about it. Don’t bother. Don’t take a picture. If you like it, I’ll be there. If you don’t, leave me alone,” she said.
In 2007, the singer also responded to thin-shamers.
“It pisses people off that I am thin and I don’t make any effort. I have been thin all my life. Nobody in my family is overweight,” Celine Dion said.
