Fans finally have a glimpse of the upcoming Chainsaw Man anime. Studio MAPPA has dropped its first official trailer at its 10th-anniversary celebration Sunday.
Just like how fans expect, Chainsaw Man looks like it will be faithful to its source material. Knowing how gory the manga is, it seems MAPPA has done its job well once again.
The New Trailer
MAPPA has been responsible for some of the most incredible anime animations as of late. It is behind Jujutsu Kaisen, Yasuke, the final season of Attack on Titan and more.
Now, what will be its take on Tatsuki Fujimoto’s hit manga series?
According to Epic Dope, it is almost guaranteed that the series is about to get the animation it deserves with MAPPA.
In fact, it can be seen in the newly-dropped mind-blowing trailer itself.
The preview starts by showing some of the happiest moments in Denji’s life. He can be seen cuddling his loving dog Pochita and living with Aki Hayasaka and Power.
However, these are just the times he wishes that can stay forever.
Everything then shifts to an intense turn of events. It shows how Denji transforms into the Chainsaw Man he is now, complete with the most intricate details.
It also gives a glimpse of the most dangerous evils a man has to face as he slowly realizes how badly he has been betrayed.
By the looks of it, Chainsaw Man is the sickest anime series MAPPA has adapted so far.

New Anime Series’ Synopsis and Other Details
The new anime series follows the story of the demon hunter Denji and his demon dog Pochita.
The two are up to fight the demons to protect the Earth.
Denji has the ability to pull a cord on his chest that will make him the “devilish hybrid man with a chainsaw head,” Collider noted.
During the anniversary event, it was also revealed that the Jujutsu Kaisen director Ryu Nakayama would direct the series.
Devilman and Crybaby’s Kensuke Ushio handles the musical score, while Deca-Dence and Dorohedoro Hiroshi Seko pens the script.
The staff and crew alone are enough to make fans excited to see the new series.
“Denji’s a poor young man who’ll do anything for money, even hunting down devils with his pet devil-dog Pochita,” its official synopsis read. “He’s a simple man with simple dreams, drowning under a mountain of debt.”
“But his sad life gets turned upside down one day when he’s betrayed by someone he trusts,” it continues. “Now with the power of a devil inside him, Denji’s become a whole new man—Chainsaw Man!”
There are no words yet about the Chainsaw Man official release date, but it looks like the wait will be worth it.
