The new horror game ‘Chasing Static’ looks like a ripped-off version from Silent Hill!
For the last couple of days, the gaming community has been eerily silent on releasing a new Silent Hill.
The Director of the production company has ruled out the possible chances of a renewed version and has said that they are working on better releases. On the note of that, Chasing Static is a survival horror game where players have to take in the shoe of the survivor being chased by a menacing monster.
A Little About the Game
This game is about chasing. It’s about running, screaming, trying to survive under the pressure of an ever-looming predator. The game takes place in the dark forest at night. The player character is pursued by a hulking creature who can only be seen when it gets close.
Players control the character and try to outrun this ‘thing.’ For 36 hours straight. There are two modes that you can play: survival mode and chase mode. Survival mode is where the game begins. The character is unarmed and with little health. They are chased by a predator that can only be seen when it gets close.
The chase lasts for 36 hours, at which point the predator watches the victim die. Chase mode involves chasing the predator for about 6 hours (the same length of time as in survival mode), with minimal health, which slowly increases.
The player must evade this threat while attempting to get farther away from it with every step while also observing its silhouette when approaching out in the forest. Once chased, the game is over, and you will face your demise (digital or otherwise).
When is the game to release?
This game was born from a desire to try something new instead of doing traditional horror games. In those, the scare comes from the darkness, from the unknown presence that chases you as you roam around a room full of dark furniture. The gameplay is also different in this project because it is based on a perception technique called Cinematic Descent.
It consists of observing something while getting closer to it over time until one finally ‘sees’ it.
The game has a vibe from the creepy atmosphere that Silent Hill has one set in. Back when the controls were strict, and players could only hide with the help of maps lying around, The new game does not have a release date yet, but it is confirmed on platforms such as Ps5 and even Xbox.
