Wells Adams revealed the truth behind the rumors about him becoming Bachelor new host.
Chris Harrison’s departure from Bachelor paved way to buzzes about potential replacements, including Wells Adams.
The rumors started swirling around his name despite the fact that Adams is scheduled to appear on Bachelor in Paradise. The 37-year-old will be the Master of Cocktails and Ceremonies on the season.
Due to the hosting spot’s vacancy and his upcoming role, Bachelor fans speculated that he might step up soon.
Amid these talks, he set the records straight in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, revealing truth about the rumors.
Will Adams host Bachelor for good?
According to Adams, he has not been tapped nor invited for a discussion to take over as a host. Still, he expressed her desire to be part of the franchise regardless of the position ABC would give him.
“Those are really large shoes to fill. I want to be a part of the franchise in whatever aspect that they want me to be involved, to be honest with you,” he said.
Even without the permanent host title, Adams said that he is currently happy with the current gig as a bartender. According to him, the job offers more benefits than hosting.
He explained how much he loves bartending and how it will allow him to be in a closer contact with the cast. In comparison, being the show’s host only gives a person a little time with the members.
By being a bartender, Adams thought he could be part of the “landscape,” too, helping him to have a stronger relationship with everyone.
While the Bachelor franchise is yet to find its host, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Tayisha Adams led Katie Thurston’s season temporarily.
Adams also noted that he remains unsure how he would do as the host. Instead of thinking about it too much, he chose to focus on his upcoming job in Paradise.
“Whatever Bachelor Nation wants and what ABC wants, I’m happy to do. But I’m just excited for ‘Paradise.’ I’m excited to mix up some margaritas and some drama and just watch it all burn in front of me,” he went on.
Chris Harrison confirmed his exit in June after going on a brief hiatus following the backlash he sustained. He defended Rachael Kirkconnell who once attended an “Old South” themed party. He also blurted out racist comments during his interview with Rachel Lindsay.
