Following her surprising baby announcement last month, the former model turned tv personality shared that she has been suffering from bleeding for nearly a month.
In her Instagram Stories, the “Lip Sync Battle” host, who is expecting her baby number three with husband John Legend, updated her 31.3 million followers regarding her pregnancy.
“We all know I’ve been on bed rest for a few weeks, and that’s like super serious bed rest. I get up to quickly pee, and that’s it. I would take baths twice a week, no showering, just as little as possible,” she said while lying on her bed at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
The 34-year-old cookbook author and soon-to-be mom-of-three were advised by the doctors to observe total bed rest since her pregnancy is considered high risk.
Furthermore, Teigen explained that she was forced to go to the hospital after experiencing excessive bleeding that has gotten worse.
“But I was always, always bleeding. I’m about, like, halfway through pregnancy and the blood has been going on for like a month. Maybe a little bit less than a month. We’re talking about more than your period girls. It’s definitely not spotting. A lot of people spot, and it’s usually fine. Mine was a lot,” she mentioned.
She even described it ‘as if you were to turn a faucet onto low and leave it there.”
The “Bring the Funny” host then encouraged her fans to trust the doctors and not to diagnose her through social media.
Furthermore, the former Sports Illustrated model also assured her fans that she is now stable and feels “really good.”
In addition, she also mentioned that her baby boy is healthy and was not affected by her “very weak placenta.”
She concluded her story as she describes her unborn son as the “strongest little dude,” and can’t wait to meet him.
Chrissy Teigen has been open about her pregnancy struggles after the power couple announced the addition to their growing family.
Earlier this month, the 34-year-old Utah born tv personality shared that she sought botox treatment to help her deal with “really bad pregnancy headaches.”
In a tweet, Teigen explained that the procedure was a “neck muscle Botox” with “beta-blocker shots and radio wave frequency” that would help alleviate her severe migraines.
