Asus has commemorated a massive decision to launch Chromebox 4, a mini PC that will be running Chrome OS.
Visually, it’s quite similar to its predecessor Chromebox 3 as the looks of the Chromebox 4 is quite resembling that of Chromebox 3.
The size, dimensions, and looks of Chromebox 4 are similar to that of Chromebox 3, and that shows that Asus haven’t worked much on its exterior quality. But to be given a point, Asus has made a significant change under the hood in the processor of Chromebox 4.
Chromebox 4 exterior
Both the Chromebox series members have the official Asus logo in the laptop’s center, and a chrome logo at the device’s top left corner. While the size and dimensions of both the laptop are similar- 5.85 x 5.85 x 1.58 inches.
While Chromebox 3 was powered by 8th Gen Intel processors, Chromebox 4 will be supported with the top of the line 10th Gen Intel processors.
Asus claims that the 10th Gen Intel processors in the device will provide the device’s smooth, efficient, and fast performance, catering to the customers’ fluid performance.

The new Chromebox might include Intel Celeron 5205U or anyone from the listed three Intel core processors, namely an i3-10110U, an i5-10210U, or an i7-10510U. All three Intel core processors are 15W TDP.
Regarding all the other specifications, users can configure the Chromebox 4 with 4GB and 8GB memory(DDR4-SO-DIMM) and can extend the storage to up to 256 GB( with the help of M.2 SATA SSD).

Bottom Line
Like all other Chromebook devices, Asus’s Chromebox 4 will also support Google Play, which means that consumers can still be able to use all the Android applications natively.
Some applications on Google Play Store works fine with Chrome OS while it suffers glitches with others; it all depends on how the workflow is all about.
Frequent notifications regarding the device’s software updates and security will be given to reduce the workload of sitting beside and waiting for any latest update, which is usually suffered by both Windows and Mac devices.
It will be available in North America next month at a starting cost of $289.
