The Haunting event under CoD: Warzone is live right now while featuring a totally new gaming mode called Ghosts of Verdansk.
While gamers are hyped for the surprises, some of them are curious about the Ghosts of Verdansk mode in CoD: Warzone. If you are one of them, you need to worry anymore. We will explain it in a simple manner.
Ghosts of Verdansk mode in ‘CoD: Warzone’ explained
It is basically a stand-in for the famous Zombie Royale mode in Warzone. Ghosts of Verdansk sees the players controlling and going against spooky specters.
The brand new mode has engaging mechanics, thus separating it from the past experiences of CoD: Warzone battle royale title. Ultimately, Ghosts of Verdansk will be as exciting as The Haunting’s attractive cosmetics.
In Ghosts of Verdansk, a successor to the Zombie Royale, players enter a very spooky version of the Verdansk map. However, this time, the playing zone is completely covered in fog. And thus, it keeps the players on the edges as they go around hunting the opponents.
But there’s more to this mode!
There is a new announcer that keeps guiding the players through each Ghosts of Verdansk online match.
Instead of the regular announcer, there is Scream’s Ghostface, who provides the voiceover as the battle progresses. And he has more lines to speak compared to the usual, generic lines of the announcer.
And that’s quite obvious. Because he is the Ghostface from the Scream movie itself, right?
He talks directly to the Operator controlled by the players. Ghostface keeps on threatening either Mara or yelling at Alex Mason, given his obsession with The Numbers. At times, players may feel scared hearing his voice consistently as they progress through the match.
All this makes Ghosts of Verdansk a very great, limited-time mode!
Get ready to be scared in Verdansk!
The unique feature of this mode, however, is the Fear Meter as players keep hearing Ghostface’s commentary in the background.
While starting a match, players have their Fear points set to zero. As the match progresses further, they must prevent it from going too high (you know why). Upon failing to do so, they will face serious consequences, having several major hallucinations.
Apart from the jump scares, players will also have a blocked screen with bullet holes and scary faces. Eventually, it becomes harder for them to see anything. And yes, the sound of heavy breathing will also make it difficult to listen to enemy footsteps.
When it comes to familiarity, the Ghosts of Verdansk mode consists of the Super Jump and Spectral Blast.
CoD: Warzone is available now for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S.
