Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order was one of the best titles of 2020, and it was arguably a standout among other Star Wars titles. After months out in the market, the developers have suddenly launched a new update that adds a salew of content for Cal.
The free content update for Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order adds what seems to be endgame content for the title. This is great news as the endgame is one of the weak points of what is otherwise an exciting Star Wars title. Here’s everything that got added to the game as per EA.
The game is already tough as is, but the newly added Meditation Training hub and its modes adds more difficulty to the game. The first mode for Meditation Training is Combat Challenges. In this mode, players will have to take Cal through waves of enemies in the game.
In total, there are 12 Combat Challenges to complete, and each has three stars to collect. Collecting the stars is fairly easy, and players have to accomplish certain requirements which are: complete the challenge, complete the challenge without healing, complete the challenge without taking damage.
Completing the challenges rewards players with new cosmetic items for Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order fan favorite, BD-1.
The other mode is Battle Grid. Players can think of it as somewhat a sandbox mode. In it, players can create challenges for themselves by placing whichever boss or enemy they want to face inside an arena.
The New Journey+ mode allows players to replay the entire game again. There are some things that will carry on in New Journey+, including Cal’s ponchos, collectibles, lightsaber parts, and other cosmetic items. Any chest that the player has opened will remain as such in the mode.
As for new content, Meditation Training is exclusive to New Journey+. Cal will also have access to a new Inquisitor outfit with a red lightsaber crystal to go along with it. Two new lightsaber sets have been introduced as well, and these are Protection and Defense I and II.
Beyond this, the update also includes some accessibility tweaks and bug fixes as well.
The new content update for Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order might be EA’s little gift for players as the May The 4th Star Wars celebration is currently ongoing. While the content may be minimal, players still have a lot to look forward to in Cal’s new journey.
