The game connects with the first three games from a narrative perspective. The original trilogy came from Naughty Dog, one of Sony’s first-party studios. The platforming aspects of Its About Time pay homage to the first three games.
Developer Toys For Bob also added their flavor into the mix. They including new platforming elements like wall-running, rope swinging, and even rail grinding. Players can still enjoy Crash and Coco throughout the game.
There are also timeline side-levels akin to secret levels in the original games. These allow players to use other characters like Dr. Neo Cortex. Every other character has their own skills and abilities to help them succeed.
