Cristiano Ronaldo allegedly makes $1M in Compare The Market ad: report

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly agreed to a million-dollar deal in his upcoming endorsement with a UK price comparison website, according to a report.

Cristiano Ronaldo will be making a huge return by endorsing Compare the Market. According to an insider, the Portugal and Juventus striker will be making a seven-figure sum for promoting the comparison website.

Cristiano Ronaldo allegedly scored a million endorsement deal

Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most popular athletes today, and the most followed personality on Instagram. He has 238 million followers making him more popular than Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, or Selena Gomez on the social media site. This makes Ronaldo an effective social media influencer, so making a million deal for an endorsement is not surprising.

According to The Sun, the Portuguese professional footballer agreed to endorse Compare The Market for an over a £1million-plus deal. He is reportedly due to fly to the U.K. to shoot the ad with its popular meerkats Aleksandr and Sergei.

“Cristiano is never one to turn down a money-spinning deal and jumped at the chance to earn this dosh for what is, essentially, an afternoon or so’s work. Compare The Market love a big name signing so were delighted to get this one over the line,” a source told The Sun (via 90 min).

Other celebrities who promoted Compare The Market include Nicole Kidman, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Macaulay Culkin.

Ronaldo makes over $1.5 million a week from football and endorsements for huge brands like Nike and Suzuki.

Ronaldo’s net worth

Cristiano Ronaldo has a net worth of $500 million, based on Celebrity Net Worth. He is the second-highest-paid athlete on the planet, according to Business Insider.

In 2019, he made $109 million, making him the highest-paid athlete next to Lionel Messi, who topped the list with $127 million. Meanwhile, in 2018, he joined Juventus for a four-year deal worth $64 million annually.

However, over 40% of his income was from his endorsement deals for huge companies like Tag Heuer, Clear Haircare, DAZN, Electronic arts, Herbalife, MTG, and Nike.

For Nike alone, Ronaldo’s deal is reportedly worth $1 billion throughout his lifetime.

Cristiano’s personal life

The 35-year-old athlete has been in a relationship with Georgina Rodriguez for nearly four years. The couple has one daughter, Alana.

However, the popular footballer has three other children. Cristiano is a dad to twins Eva Maria and Mateo from a surrogate mom. And Cristiano Jr., his first son, whose mom remains anonymous.

Cristiano Ronaldo has not proposed to his girlfriend yet, and she is not in a hurry. However, she also did not hide her intention to be his wife.

“Every couple wants to get married and I would love to personally. Right how we have priorities and a lot of responsibilities, although in the future it would be marvellous to become Cristiano’s wife,” Rodriguez said as quoted by The Sun.

Prior to Rodriguez, the Juventus star dated the world’s hottest women, including Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, and Irina Shayk, to name a few.
