Crysis Remastered Trilogy to hit consoles, PC this fall

The upcoming “Crysis Remastered Trilogy” will only include single-player campaigns, according to Crytek.

Crytek previously released several teasers for the remastered versions of its Crysis games. While gamers seemingly thought that separate remastered titles will arrive, the video game company surprised its fans with the Crysis Remastered Trilogy.

On Tuesday, the announcement emerged on various media channels. Comic Book said that while the details remain inconclusive, more information and updates will surface in the next few weeks.

Crysis Remastered Trilogy coming this fall

Crysis Remastered Trilogy is a bundle, consisting of the Crysis games from the franchise. The collection houses the remastered versions of each, with a feature of having single-player campaigns only.

This means that the upcoming bundle will not include the multiplayer campaign features from the two original sequels. Reports said that this appears to be the “one caveat” of the collection.

As announced, it will arrive sometime this fall. But as to when exactly, Crytek has yet to reveal the actual release dates.

The details of the bundle

There is little information about the Crysis Remastered Trilogy. Apart from the release date, the prices and other inclusions also remain undisclosed.

Coming Soon noted, however, that the cost of Crysis Remastered is around $30. Accordingly, gamers may base their estimations on this price point.

It also remains unclear whether Crytek will release separate versions of the franchise. But, considering that the original base game has one, it is likely that there will also be available remastered versions of Crysis 2 and Crysis 3.

It will, nevertheless, be available for PC and various gaming consoles. These include PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo.

As for its potential arrival on new-gen consoles, like PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, the publication said that the bundle is “not natively” hitting these platforms. But, users of these devices will reportedly have “nebulous enhancements” of the game titles “through backwards compatibility.”

About Crysis Remastered

Crysis Remastered first became available in October last year. Reports said that it eventually obtained three modes: quality, ray-tracing, and performance; outside Nintendo consoles.

The remastered version of the first base game also had “global illumination” and depth of field. Moreover, it features higher quality textures, as well as an 8K mode.

Accordingly, it is reportedly likely that these features will be in the Crysis Remastered Trilogy, as well. Even so, these are mere speculations as Crytek still has yet to unveil the entire bundle.
