Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics recently concluded their latest War Table, and the stream had a lot of news. Marvel’s Avengers fans should be excited for what’s to come to this superhero epic.
Marvel’s Avengers is due out in just a few days, and fans are excited. Before the game launches, the developers of the game released another War Table, which showed off more of the game’s post-launch plans and a tribute to Black Panther himself, Chadwick Boseman.
Kate Bishop as DLC
It was announced a while back that Hawkeye will be the first post-launch DLC for the upcoming game. Now, the developers have confirmed that his daughter, Kate Bishop, will come as a post-launch character as well. Like the other characters, Kate Bishop will have her battle pass with special items, as well as her campaign.
The developers have yet to give a release date for Kate Bishop, as well as Hawkeye, but it seems like both characters are going to launch sometime this year.
Fans are questioning the addition of Kate Bishop, considering that Hawkeye is already around. Many are concerned that there won’t be a big enough difference between these two heroes.
Chadwick Boseman tribute
During the stream, the developers asked for a moment of silence to pay respect to Chadwick Boseman, who died because of colon cancer last week. The Black Panther star has been battling the disease since 2016, and he has been keeping it a secret from his co-stars and his fans.
During the Marvel Avenger’s War Table stream, the developers also note that they were supposed to have another major announcement. However, they chose to avoid making it during the stream to pay respect to Chadwick Boseman.
This statement from the developers suggests that Black Panther will be one of the post-launch DLC characters for the game. Kate Bishop and Black Panther were part of a leak last month that showed which of the Marvel heroes would eventually join the game.
Aside from these two, the developers also used the War Table stream to show off some of the game’s levels and features.
Marvel’s Avengers launches for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 4. The game will have new-gen versions as well, but we’ve yet to know when these will launch. There are still more DLC characters to be announced, and we can expect to see more of them soon.
