Cyberpunk 2077 will release the huge 1.2 update for the game, adding almost 500 game improvements, including bug, graphical, and stability fixes.

CD Projekt Red announced the massive 1.2 update for Cyberpunk 2077. The update corrected hundreds of issues that players complained about on launch. All this comes after losing assets to a hack and getting locked out of their system.

CP2077 to receive almost 500 fixes

CP2077 was supposed to be game of the decade material on launch. The problem came when CDPR tried to release the game at what looked like 50% completion. The game was a buggy mess, even for a CD Projekt Red title.

CDPR received massive backlash from fans of the game who joined the hype. Graphical glitches were common ground, where the game becomes unplayable too. Optimizations were bad enough until the studio got hit with a hack that set them back even further.

Now, it seems the publisher is opening the floodgates, releasing patch 1.2. Originally due for a February release, the patch is on its way. The studio released patch notes on their website, with a massive set of bullet points.

Anyone who is willing to give it a read can find the list on the official CP2077 website. Even then, it’s going to be a massive undertaking.

Patch notes detail graphical overhaul, bug fixes for Cyberpunk

Cyberpunk 2077 and its patch notes lists a massive bullet list of almost 500 entries. These changes break down between gameplay, quests, and open world. There’s also cinematic design, environment and levels, graphics, audio, animation, UI, and many more.

The biggest sections for the patch include fixes to gameplay and quest specifics. Many changes are making the world much easier to immerse in. Police responses to criminal activities will take longer while recon drones will come.

There’s also the reduction of character dodging, which is erroneous behavior. There’s even a report that this specific stat is the cause for thousands of deaths in-game.

In January, patch 1.1 came to CP2077, adding much-needed stability changes. These improvements related to memory usage and crashes. Furthermore, other changes include quest improvements, performance and even visual issues.

So far, CD Projekt Red has a roadmap for their upcoming updates.

“We are committed to fixing bugs and crashes and will continue to work and improve the game via future updates to make sure you are enjoying the game regardless of the platform,” said the post.

“We will use this space to inform you about the progress being made on Cyberpunk 2077’s further development, including information about updates and improvements, free DLCs, and more.

Cyberpunk 2077 is still quite the good game. Players who can wait should give the game a try once more stability improvements come into it.
