The big fear might turn out to be true among the fans of Cyberpunk 2077, who were hoping for the PS5 and Xbox Series X upgrades this year.
Now it seems like the Cyberpunk 2077 updates to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S won’t release in this year at all.
What to expect for ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ PS5, Xbox Series X|S upgrades?
Recently, CD Projekt RED announced that The Witcher 3 would soon receive PS5 and Xbox Series X|S updates. Its appearance in the PEGI database confirmed that already.
However, when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077, the situation doesn’t seem to be hopeful. At least not for this calendar. As per the latest rumors, the 2020 title won’t receive its next-gen versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2021.
A well-known Twitter account recently revealed that CP77 would not witness the present-gen console launch this year. If it’s the case, then it will disappoint the fans of the sci-fi open-world game from CDPR.
The Twitter user mentioned above shared the news that there is no trace of the game’s next-gen upgrades in PlayStation databases.
On the other hand, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt‘s new updates are expected to arrive in the course of the next two months. Most likely, it might come out in December.
But in the case of Cyberpunk 2077, the circumstances look complicated. At the moment, the next-gen upgrades won’t release before next year; it’s almost impossible now.
Still, some fans will be hoping to get surprised during Christmas in December this calendar. CDPR developers may drop the bomb in the form of PS5 and Xbox Series X|S updates. But only if they want to do so.
At the moment, all fans must be having their fingers crossed.
The current status and future of ‘CP77’
Meanwhile, the Polish developer is gradually progressing with the fixes and improvements for the 2020 release.
During its maiden launch week, Cyberpunk 2077 received heavy attraction from gamers across the globe. However, it soon faded away after constant reports of poor gameplay and many other glitches in the open-world title.
The situation became so much worse than CDPR even refunded the money to the players who purchased the game because they were not able to run it even on the high-end systems.
As of now, Cyberpunk 2077 is expected to come up with major DLC expansions in the future.
If past speculations are anything to go by, then there will be new playable missions based on other characters of the game. Some of them include the likes of Panam, Judy, and Jackie.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available now for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia.
