‘Cyberpunk 2077’ delayed to Dec. 10

Just when 2020 couldn’t get any worse for gamers, CD Projekt Red has some sad news for those eagerly anticipating Cyberpunk 2077. Gamers will now have to wait a lot longer before getting their hands on the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed several times already, and it often feels like we aren’t getting the game anytime soon. Just as when the game has gone gold, and the release date is only a few more weeks away, the game has been delayed yet again. This time, CD Projekt Red has offered a more direct reason.

Delayed yet again

In an announcement, CD Projekt Red that they are once again delaying the game. Unlike previous delays, this one won’t be as long. As per the developers, the game will now launch on Dec. 10 instead of Nov. 19 – a 21-day delay. They have also revealed the reason for the delay.

As per the developers, they basically want the game to release across all platforms at the same time. It was initially planned that the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions are going to launch ahead of the new-gen versions. With the delay, the developers have confirmed that the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Stadia versions will be launching at the same time.

Players surprised?

This isn’t the first time that Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed. In fact, the game was supposed to launch back in September. However, it was delayed as the developers wanted to have more time to fully polish the AI in the game. That was when the release date was moved to Nov. 19.

Players are shocked at the news. There had been rumors going around that for a year, the developers were crunching for the development of the game. Employees of the company allegedly had been forced to work longer and faster so that the game will launch in 2020.

Still, fans of the upcoming game are happy that the delay is only three weeks long. Some players, however, are concerned that the developers might not be able to polish the new-gen versions enough due to the short time frame.

While delayed, at least the new wait won’t be as long anymore. Hopefully, this will be the last time that Cyberpunk 2077 is delayed. Players have been waiting patiently for this title. Fans are also wishing that the wait will be worth it and that the game is all that it’s hyped up to be.
