So far, Cyberpunk 2077 hasn’t disappointed yet, and it’s shaping up to be a game of the year contender as well. One of the defining points of the game is the attention of detail that the developer has put into creating a character.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a highly anticipated title for many reasons, and the fact that CD Projekt Red is the developer is just one of those. Another reason why gamers are so into the game is that it has a robust character customization system that’s yet to be seen elsewhere.
Here’s everything we know about how character creation works in the game.
Starting Up
Upon starting up as V, players will be greeted by the Birth Record tab in character customization. This tab is a simpler form of the character creator, as players can pick from an array of male and female presets here. They can then change parts of the presets as they move forward.
Next, players will have to go through the Background Check tab. In this tab, players will have to answer three categories: Childhood Hero, Key Life Event, and Why Night City? Not much is known how the player’s choices will affect the game, but players are speculating that their choices could alter some events in Cyberpunk 2077.
Considering how the game is a story-driven RPG, that seems to be very likely.
Changing appearance
The game seems to have one of the most detailed character creators around. It starts off in the Biometric Scan, which is a menu that allows players to customize their character’s face. Players can alter the hair, scars, and many other parameters to make their character more unique to themselves.
Once players get through the Biometric Scan, they’ll then go through an appearance changer. This tab includes clothing, piercings, tattoos, and more.
Surprisingly, CD Projekt Red is taking things up a notch. According to recent gameplay details, players will also be able to customize the genitalia of their characters. Aside from that, parts like the breasts and buttocks can be customized as well.
Attributes
Before players start the game, they’ll then have to allot attribute points for their characters. There are a total of five categories to invest in, and these are Body, Intelligence, Reflexes, Technical, and Cool. These will have a major impact on how players can get through the game, so it’s important that players choose wisely depending on their play style.
As we get to know more about Cyberpunk 2077, the more excited we get. The game is still on track to release on September 17 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
