Cyberpunk 2077 returns to PlayStation Store, Sony says don’t buy on PS4.
After originally being pulled, Cyberpunk 2077 is back on the PlayStation Store—but it comes with a big warning. Further repairs and updates for the next generation are in preparation.
As expected, it returned to the Sony PlayStation store today, more than six months after it was taken off the shelves. However, it brought another major warning to PS4 users.
CD Projekt Red said: “In the PS4 version, as we continue to improve the stability of all platforms, users will still encounter performance issues.” PS4 Pro and PS5 versions of the game provide the ultimate Playstation experience.
Sony’s Cyberpunk 2077 came on the market with similar warnings and prevented PS4 users from buying games. “It is not recommended to use purchase on the PS4 system,” Sony said on the market.
Buying Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 Is Not Advised
To get the best experience on PlayStation, recommended playing on PS4 Pro and PS5 systems. Cyberpunk 2077 initially debuted in December, but it’s the next-generation console Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
All platforms have various bugs and glitches. But some extra severe predicaments have been spotted on Xbox One and the basic PS4. Microsoft affixed a warning label to its Xbox store, and Sony removed “Cyberpunk 2077” from its store a week later.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available at PlayStation Store. Work on the PS4 version continues, with fixes and updates to be released throughout the year: https://t.co/XWCfOEQrLS For the best experience on PlayStation, playing on PS4 Pro or PS5 consoles is recommended.

You can still buy the physical disc version of PS4, but the lack of a digital version may slow down Xbox, PC, and PlayStation sales. CD Projekt Red is constantly fixing several of the early concerns of Cyberpunk 2077.
But there is still work to be done for the Xbox One and PS4 versions. The free next-generation update for Cyberpunk 2077 will be launched in the second half of 2021, and more fixes are planned throughout the year.
Cyberbunk announced: “As we continue to improve the stability of all platforms, users will still experience performance issues with the PS4 version.” The PS4 Pro and PS5 versions of the game provide the best experience on PlayStation.
Buying Advisory
In fact, the game has been regularly updated since its release. The latest patch, 1.23, improves gameplay, graphics, and stability. It took Sony six months to feel confident enough to bring the game back to their store, despite a warning.
For PS4 users, this fully illustrates the severity of the game’s need to be repaired, partly due to poor operating conditions during game development. Obviously, there is still a lot of work to be done to fix the game. I haven’t bought Cyberpunk 2077 yet. I suggest you wait.
