CD Projekt RED recently came out with another Cyberpunk 2077 update, patch 1.31, bringing more fixes and small improvements.
Fans’ reaction, however, has been primarily mixed in regards to the new Cyberpunk 2077 update 1.31.
‘Cyberpunk 2077’ patch 1.31: Is it any good?
While several fans are okay with what the latest update offers, most of them are not excited about it anyways. It’s because patch 1.31, as per them, provides nothing huge in terms of significant improvements and considerable changes.
One Redditor named Cute-Conflict835 mentioned that update 1.31 reduces the graphical quality in Cyberpunk 2077.
The user said that the LOD vehicle distance is now less, being at 150m. And that it makes cars standing further away look fake and “lego-looking” when zooming in.
He added that he would instead go for fewer cars on the roads during the gameplay. Otherwise, the graphics seem poor and of bad quality.
There was another user named LFDT who showed comparisons of in-game street photos before and after patch 1.31. He said that the reflections had reduced somehow, looking somewhat glassier.
On the other hand, some fans think that Cyberpunk 2077 is more realistic now after patch 1.31. And that it has become better with the recent updates.
In case you don’t know, the newest update fixed certain scenes and sequences regarding key characters, like the one where Judy Alvarez would not spawn in her van on Jig-Jig street. It happened during the Disasterpiece mission.
Another issue got solved where Thorton Galena became invulnerable. It happened in These Boots Are Made For Walkin’ mission.
The developer also fixed other UI, gameplay, and visual problems in the latest patch. In combat, from now on, enemies’ stealth detection speed will depend on the game’s difficulty.
What’s next for the CDPR title?
Since its controversial launch last December, Cyberpunk 2077 has been a mess for lots of reasons already. However, the open-world title has witnessed a positive phase, thanks to the update streak from CDPR.
Now that it’s moving in the right direction, fans of the sci-fi, futuristic game are also hoping for fresh and additional in-game content. Simply put, they want the DLCs as soon as possible.
As per the reports so far, various key characters in CP77 may receive their gameplay quests in the future. Panam is one of them–being V’s love interest and friend–who might get a DLC story.
However, Judy is also among the beloved characters in Cyberpunk 2077. Her incredible journey alongside the protagonist has attracted lots of gamers who have now become her avid followers.
Few rumors have suggested that she may get an additional extension inside the game, with a playable mission.
