Cyberpunk 2077 hints at a possible lower run of graphics on consoles such as PS4 and Xbox with only nothing more than 900p.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a highly anticipated CD Projekt Red game and was finally launched last week. The game has undergone a lot of speculations and delays over the months as it was finally released.
Contrary to what many were expecting in terms of gameplay, Cyberpunk 2077 opened to a substantial amount of complaints.
Gamers from the previous generation consoles such as the PS4 and Xbox One consoles have shared their negative reviews all over social media.
Recently, a new video circulating on the internet from Digital Foundry, a YouTube Channel, further lays down the speculations and says how consoles such as PS4 and Xbox handle Cyberpunk 2077.
There are a lot of bugs and issues with the game
Cyberpunk 2077 has received a low review on Metacritic upon its launch. Digital Foundry showed the players how the game looks while being played on a PC or even the PS4.
About 3500 ratings from Metacritic have downvoted the game. On PS4, Cyberpunk 2077 runs with only 2.5 stars out of 10. The Xbox One has a slightly better Metacritic vote, with only 3.0 stars out of 10.
Both the PS4 and Xbox version of Cyberpunk 2077 is said to have glitches. Players even took to Twitter and complained about the low resolution the game starts with.
According to some of Metacritic’s user reviews, Cyberpunk 2077 has about freezes, crashes, and a low frame rate. One of the most common problems reported about the game is its poor graphics.
The graphic is considered a ‘Triple-A‘ title for consoles
The video circulating from Digital Foundry has shown this problem. Cyberpunk 2077 cannot run on the PS4 with about 1080p resolution.
Instead, the video shows that the game runs on the console with only 900p. If the connection is not stable, the resolution can drop to 720p.
The PlayStation 4 Pro, on the other hand, has managed to cut above 1180p resolution for most scenes. But when the angle changes to a detailed environment, it can go down to 920p.
Furthermore, when the frame rate is considered, neither the PS4 nor the Xbox can maintain a stable 30fps frame rate at a lower resolution.
The video uploaded shows the game might hit 30fps at times being played on the PS4. But due to glitches and errors happening in the game quite often, the resolution can drop to 20fps.
The game also loads fewer details on NPCs and details on the PlayStation 4.
