Daniel Craig mourns the passing of legendary actor Sean Connery.
The news came after a verified Twitter account of the blockbuster film James Bond shared that the Scottish actor and producer passed away at the age of 90.

Moreover, Today cited that the award-winning actor, who is widely recognized for his character as the secret agent, James Bond, reportedly died peacefully in his sleep, as confirmed by his family.
“His wife Micheline and his two sons, Jason and Stephane, have confirmed that he died peacefully in his sleep surrounded by family,” the Hollywood A-lister’s representative told the outlet.
Connery’s family also shared that there will be a private ceremony planned “once the virus has ended.”

Following the passing of the “Goldfinger” star, fellow celebrities paid tribute over his death, including Daniel Craig, who is the recent star to portray the iconic role.
In a statement shared by the outlet, the 52-year-old actor expressed his great “sadness” for losing what he calls “one of the true greats of cinema.”
“Sir Sean Connery will be remembered as Bond and so much more,” he mentioned.
The British actor also recalled and highlighted Connery’s immense contribution to the entertainment industry and how he served as an “influence” to future actors and filmmakers.
“He defined an era and a style. The wit and charm he portrayed on screen could be measured in megawatts; he helped create the modern blockbuster. He will continue to influence actors and filmmakers alike for years to come.”
Furthermore, the “Quantum of Solace” star concluded his statement by sharing that his thoughts are with the fellow 007 star’s family and loved ones, adding, “Wherever he is, I hope there is a golf course.”
Aside from Craig, the award-winning actor’s co-star in The Untouchable also penned a touching message over the saddening news about Sean Connery.
Kevin Costner took to Twitter as he recalled the good times with the legendary star.
In a lengthy message alongside a black and white photo of the two, he mentioned that he is “deeply saddened to learn of the passing” of the Scottish actor “who was enormously proud of his body of work, particularly his work on stage.”

On the other hand, Robert de Niro shared the same stance and was also devastated by the death of the James Bond star.
“I’m very sorry to hear about Sean’s passing,” he mentioned in a statement as obtained by Deadline. “He seemed much younger than 90; I expected – and hoped– he’d be with us much longer. See you up there, Sean.”
