Despite being a few years old, Dead By Daylight still gets a lot of new content and upgrades from time to time. With the new Descend Beyond update, the game gets more than just a new killer and survivor.
A recent update for Dead By Daylight adds a new killer and survivor to the game. The update does more than expand the roster of heroes and villains as it seeks to improve the overall experience as well. Here’s everything new in the update.
New characters
First off, let’s talk about the new killer in the game. The new killer is named the Blight who was formerly a Scottish chemist named Talbot Grimes. The chemist experimented with humans and was eventually betrayed by those close to him. The Entity turned Grimes into the terrifying creature called the Blight.
The new survivor is Felix Richter. He is a new member of a secret society, and he hopes to restore old Victorian buildings to their former glory. More specifically, he is hoping to help the buildings on the same island that his father and his fellow society members vanished in.
These two new playable characters further expand the roster of the game. Of course, there will be more characters to come in the future.
Other features
The Dead By Daylight update also adds a few graphical upgrades to the game.
“Many in-game objects in Dead By Daylight haven’t been changed significantly since the game’s launch. As part of our ongoing effort to enhance the game’s visuals, many of these objects got visual updates in this patch to bring them closer to our long-term vision for the appearance of the game. Some realms also got visual updates, with more coming later in future patches,” says the developer in the patch notes.
This is just the first step of the developers in overhauling the game. The developer announced that they are gradually going to improve many assets in the game. The maps are also going to get an overhaul in the future which is intended to enhance the overall experience of the game.
Dead By Daylight is getting better right before our eyes. Apart from new content, the developers also adding new much needed graphical updates that make the experience more engaging. Gamers should try out this popular horror title as soon as they can.
