Players of Death Stranding on PC have got a big surprise. Hideo Kojima’s game just made a big crossover with CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077!
According to Dualshockers, Death Stranding has recently received a new crossover update with CDPR’s Cyberpunk 2077. However, this amazing gameplay experience is only available to the PC version of the popular title.
The latest crossover adds new items and playing style for the game’s protagonist Sam Porter Bridges.
Death Stranding meets Cyberpunk 2077!
Speaking in detail, then Sam Bridges will now gain the hacking ability, like Cyberpunk 2077. It can stun the enemies with Odradeks while disabling their vehicles and MULE sensor poles.
Moreover, there’s also the Reverse Trike, which was seen during Hideo Kijima’s appearance in the CDPR’s game’s promotional material. Many fashionable items and “Johnny Arm” are also available to equip in Death Stranding gameplay.
The “Johnny Arm” was seen on Johnny Silverhand in a lot of Cyberpunk trailers.
The biggest and most important part of this new update is that it’s available for free! Yes, the players can install it without paying any amount. Plus, Hideo Kojima also revealed that those who don’t own his game can still get this crossover update for a discount of 50 percent.
So, all in all, it seems like a great deal and an awesome opportunity for all Stranding players. They can get a taste of CDPR’s biggest 2020 launch without having to buy it personally!
Kojima’s close connection with CDPR
Coming back to the new relationship of Kojima Productions’ boss and CD Projekt Red, then it’s been going on for quite some time now. He’s been associated with the latter’s highly anticipated “AAA” title of this year. But when he actually showed up in the game itself, that was like an unexpected gift for many gamers.
Hideo’s game studio also just completed five years, and fans were hoping for several amazing announcements. However, apart from the latest Cyberpunk 2077 crossover with Death Stranding, there’s been nothing else. And this must have disappointed the die-hard followers of the studio. And it’s because the official Twitter account did share a cryptic message a few days ago. It said that several exciting news would be coming soon.
Talking about Cyberpunk, it has become the reason for “many things” even towards 2020. It finally released last week, on Dec. 10th, but is now receiving many negative reactions. It’s due to the performance issues and inferior frame rates, even on high-end gaming systems. Many people have expressed their angst and even demanded a refund, as they regretted their decision to buy it.
