Arkane Studios’ latest launch, Deathloop, is making a lot of buzz these days due to its engaging and interesting gameplay and narrative.
However, Deathloop is also making buzz when it comes to showcasing mind-blowing easter eggs. Recently, someone found a Tomb Raider reference inside the time-loop-based title.
‘Deathloop’ has an interesting ‘Tomb Raider’ reference
Eurogame’s Ian Higton noticed something strange recently while playing the game.
In his YouTube gameplay video, he showed tons of amazing references he discovered in Deathloop missions. While being inside one of them, he came across a specific moment.
In the video, Higton explains that he heard a sound while finding a secret area as he entered Black Reef. Now hearing certain sounds is quite usual in any game when entering a specific section.
But what’s interesting to know is that the sound he heard was similar to a classic sound from one of the most popular gaming franchises. Yes, it’s none other than the Tomb Raider series based on Lara Croft.
Higton noticed that the sound playing upon finding a secret area in Deathloop is almost similar to Tomb Raider. In the latter, when you enter a secret place, there is always a theme in the background.
Now comparing both the games side-by-side, Higton mentioned that their sounds are almost identical. It’s just that there is a little distinction between them.
But it seems like Arkane put a nice easter egg in Deathloop, giving a clean and subtle reference.
