The Dell XPS laptop 2020 series was released last May 12 with minimal but substantially powerful upgrades from the previous model.
Ever since Dell released the revamped XPS series, they have taken over as one of the most favorite laptops in the market. Dell started the revolution on ‘bezel-less’ displays, and all other companies have been playing the catching up game.
The Dell XPS isn’t perfect as many experts would say. Although according to the same experts, the Dell XPS series is the closest laptop to perfection that a laptop user can find in the market.
Fine tuned machine
The Dell XPS 13 and XPS 15 are both powerful machines that can deliver workstation like performances at a compact size. Dell pioneered the innovation on ‘bezel-less’ screens with their proprietary Infinity Display. They just took the ball game to the whole new higher level.

Dell completely got rid of the bulky chin on the screen display for an ultra immersive viewing experience. The company was able to do this without compromising the positioning of the webcam on the top slim bezel. The screen size is 6.8% bigger than the previous model for a 91.5% screen to body ratio.
All of the Dell XPS 2020 laptops ship with the latest Intel 10th Gen chipsets so users can expect only the smoothest operation on the XPS 13 and XPS 15 laptops. These laptops come with generous ports selections, but Dell went over and beyond by providing a USB-A to USB-C connector.
Dell XPS 17
The surprise among all in the May 12 launch of the Dell XPS 2020 series was the announcement of the Dell XPS 17 model. This laptop packs all the best features of the XPS 13 and XPS 15 in a relatively portable form factor.
It would seem like Dell is on the hunt for the market dominated by the Apple Macbook Pro 16-inch. Dell is now catering to the creators of the world. Some find the 13-inch and 15-inch screen too small to create detailed contents so they end up turning to laptops with bigger screens.
Colossal power. Optimum design.

Now, Dell is catering to that market too. The XPS 17 will follow the same language as its smaller brothers in the lineup. It will have the 16:10 display aspect ratio, a generous sized trackpad, speakers facing up without a bulky footprint similar to other 17-inch laptops.
Dell expects the sales of the XPS 17 to cut into the sales of the other 15-inch laptops. It even expects it to cut into the sales of the XPS 15. Nevertheless, Dell is still confident to keep the three laptop size line up.
