Fans worldwide are more shocked at Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich being engaged after four months of dating than them breaking up.

Six months later, with two months of being engaged, Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich are done.

Their whirlwind romance has been questioned by fans of the “Stone Cold” singer and those close to her.

Tensions between Demi Lovato, Max Ehrich

Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich quarantined together since April. But as lockdown restrictions have been lifted and the “new normal” have been taking place, the couple’s quarantine bubble has been popped.

When the “Young and Reckless” actor had to leave for Atlanta to shoot a movie, the Disney alum had, reportedly, started questioning their engagement.

Their romance has said to have been going downhill, as they have been arguing a lot, as the “Don’t Forget” singer didn’t want him to go without her.

A source told E! News that Lovato has been ignoring the red flags in their relationship since the beginning.

“There has been a lot of tension, and Demi left him to get a clear head. She didn’t know who Max truly was and didn’t think he had good intentions.”

The source added, “There were many red flags she was ignoring and trying to turn a blind eye to.”

Another insider spoke to E! News and revealed that Lovato didn’t trust her then-fiancé.

“She doesn’t trust him and thinks he’s sketchy.”

Lovato, reportedly, thought that perhaps Ehrich only proposed “to get attention.” The soap opera actor popped the question just four months after they started officially dating.

More doubts

Demi Lovato’s doubts had only heightened when her mom, Diana Dela Garza, and her close friends warned her about Ehrich.

They believe that Lovato should end her relationship with the actor “sooner than later.”

Then old tweets of the actor’s obsession with Selena Gomez surfaced early this month, the most insulting thing of all for Lovato.

Max Ehrich’s heartbreak

A source told People magazine that the former flames still have love and respect for one another, as there is no bad blood between the two.

“It was a tough decision, but Demi and Max have decided to go their separate ways to focus on their respective careers.”

However, on Saturday, Ehrich took to his Instagram Story to reveal he found out about their breakup through a tabloid.

“Imagine finding out to the status of your relationship through a tabloid,” Ehrich claimed.
