‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ confirmed spinoff series centers on Rengoku

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime series is officially ending with Chapter 205. Fortunately, fans will be thrilled as the popular Japanese anime will get to have a spinoff series.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba follows a story about a young boy, Tanjiro Kamado. He becomes a demon slayer after the demons slaughtered his entire family. Chapter 204 entitled, A Demonless World, was recently released. The episode revealed Tanjiro Kamado and the rest of Demon Slayer corp disbanded and parted ways.

It appears that Tanjiro finally defeated all the demons, and the world is finally a safe place to live in. The Japanese animes do not shy away from creating a happy ending for all its animes. Hence, chapter 205 will definitely showcase a happy ending.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba spinoff series

The spinoff series will have a new plot and will explore the characters that have not been examined in the previous chapters. The new storyline will particularly focus on the character of Kyojuro Rengoku. Moreover, Rengoku was the Flame of Hashira from the Mugen Train arc.

The confirmation of the series was posted on Twitter, which included the poster of Rengoku. Furthermore, Demon Slayer: Yaiba no Kimetsu spinoff is already in the works. In the meantime, the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba-Infinity Train will arrive on October 16, 2020.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba spinoff cast and release date

Since the news is relatively new, there is no final announcement yet on the cast and release date. Hirano Ryouji will draw the spinoff series. It’s still early to tell on the possible plot of Rengoku or how many chapters do the spinoff will have.

Rengoku initially appeared in the series almost at the end of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba season 1. Rengoku will join with Tanjiro in the upcoming Demon Slayer movie.

It seems that Rengoku’s character made a lot of impressions not only on the production team but also on the viewers. Fans are yet to see what Rengoku is capable of.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba chapter 204 deaths

While waiting for the finale of the manga series, chapter 204 revealed too many deaths in the characters. The members of Hashira lost their lives, which include Shinobu Kocho, Mitsuri Kanroji, Obanai Iguro, Gyomei Himejima, and Muichiro Tokito.

The battle was fierce and the Hashira was not able to win against Muzan Kibutsuji. Although Tanjiro is the strongest member of the Demon Slayer corp, he could not save everyone.  At the end of the chapter, Tanjiro is also reported to have lost his breathing and his pulse. Fans are now theorizing the fate of Tanjiro if he will live through the battle.
