‘Demon Slayer’ manga achieved another milestone in sales record


For the first time of any manga series, all 22 volumes of the Demon Slayer manga topped 22 spots in Japan’s chart records.

Although the creator of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba‘s original manga, Koyoharu Gotouge, ended the series already, the manga did not stop breaking records just yet!

The Demon Slayer manga series has recorded significant sales that somehow surprise every time.

It’s indeed a massive month for the series. The anime’s movie, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train is currently making its way to theaters and is breaking all kinds of box office records in Japan.

And now, the series’ manga runs are continuing to sell like it never runs out of readers. The anime series has dominated the mainstream with the release of its 22nd volume in Japan.

Demon Slayer manga rules

It was revealed in the newest report from Oricon that all of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba‘s volumes have been placed within the Top 30 chart for the October 19-25th week. The Oricon tracks manga sales numbers and graphs in Japan.

And the good news did not just stop there. All the 22 volumes of the manga have taken the top 22 spots on the chart, making it the first for any manga series.

The estimated physical sales of Volume 22 of Koyoharu Gotouge’s series is 326,000 copies. For the fourth time in a row, the series has taken the top spot on their chart, as Oricon revealed.

Another astounding fact is that the series has dominated the top ten on their charts for the sixth time. This is throughout its sales thus far.

The manga’s staggering digits

The physical sales of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, according to the reports, has crossed the 90.5 million mark overall.

With the release of the anime series’s final volume this December, it is likely to go up even further.

After all the manga releases hit shelves, it is interesting to see that it continues to sell. Meanwhile, the confirmation of the second season is yet to confirm.
