The recent AnimeJapan 2021 Expo gave fans a big treat after it dropped a new Demon Slayer Season 2 teaser.
The event gave everyone a glimpse of Demon Slayer Season 2 events and the much-loved characters, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and more. With the renewed interest the anime receives due to the success of the movie Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, fans are now all excited to see its return on the small screen.
Four new still images
According to Comicbook, the second installment is still in the works. AnimeJapan revealed the teaser during the virtual anime panel live, and it could be seen here.
Screenshots of the clips are now circulating online, focusing on four snaps that show the anime’s main characters.
The first scene shows Tanjiro and Zenitsu enjoying their food with Inosuke. It then features Zenitsu looking worried by the mysterious thing that he sees in front of him.
The third sequence reveals what looks like twin sisters, while Inosuke looks confident, pointing his thumb at himself.
Indeed, the images may not reveal anything important about Demon Slayer Season 2, but it shows how much has the show progressed.

Second season’s possible release date
The franchise has yet to announce the official release date of Demon Slayer Season 2. The only announcement that was made was it would drop anytime this 2021.
As the first quarter is about to end, will it soon hit the small screens?
Games Radar noted the anime series’ release window is usually divided throughout the calendar year.
New shows are typically out in spring, fall, and winter, but it’s impossible it will be part of the spring anime release.
Its first season premiered in April 2019 and ran until September of the said year. So, the possible timeline that the second season may drop is in fall 2021 or winter 2021.
If this happens, fans can finally see the second season’s premiere in September or October. If not, it may be out in December.
However, it is also possible that its release is going to be based on the movie. Demon Slayer: Mugen Train launched in October 2020 in Japan and would be out on April 23 this year in the U.S.
It will be then available for digital purchase on June 22, and Demon Slayer Season 2 may not get in the way of these releases. So, it may be more fitting if it will premiere in the second half of 2021 instead.
